Tobias Boonstoppel
I design and develop applications - and I love what I do.
Hi, I'm Tobi. Nice to meet you.
I'm a seasoned contract software engineer and entrepreneur with 20 years of experience. I founded my own startup and worked at scale at Google.
I'm a Dutch-Swiss third culture kid based in New York.
-
- I was the Head of Digital at the parent company of Art Basel, the world's biggest art fair. I led a remote team to develop an innovative app and CRM for regional art fairs.
-
- I founded a digital art collection app (pre-NFT) to democratize the discovery of art. 300K artworks were collected by our community before being acquired by MCH Group.
-
- As a frontend engineer, I collaborated with research scientists to build and launch Fusion Tables, a product to manage structured data that was integrated into Google Search.
-
- I built user-facing features on Google Maps and Streetview. I also worked extensively on frontend frameworks, including prototyping a client-side template processing and data binding system eventually used by both Search and Maps.
